Friz aligns with MatchMove on neobank for freelancers

Source: Friz

Friz, the Singapore-based financial platform for freelancers in Southeast Asia has partnered with embedded finance platform MatchMove, to power their users’ wallets with seamless and convenient financial services.

Friz is the missing link for freelancers and digital creators in the pursuit of a one-stop solution for their financial needs - from accessing financial services to managing them efficiently - via one login. With MatchMove’s embedded finance solution, Friz empowers freelancers with financial freedom. The platform is designed to provide a seamless end-to-end user experience with a simple and secure cash-management system designed uniquely for the creator economy.

Leveraging MatchMove’s “MoveFast” product solution, Friz users can now top-up in real-time.

Freelancers struggle with accessing credit in the absence of conventional payslips from traditional full-time employment. In partnership with lenders, Friz provides a credit line for project-based workers with higher approval rates and affordable fees compared to payday loan providers who are otherwise the standard alternative for freelancer borrowing.

Using MatchMove-enabled Mastercard-branded virtual cards, Friz can extend a credit line to freelancers so that they only pay for what they spend. The cards can be integrated with Google Pay for a convenient and smooth payments experience.

Friz has launched in Singapore and plans to expand to other Southeast Asian nations with fast market launches enabled by MatchMove’s regional capabilities.

“Partnering with MatchMove allowed us to have faster access to the market. We value MatchMove’s commitment to financial inclusion in Southeast Asia,” said Friz’s Co-Founder, Nirali Zaveri.

“We are excited to partner with Friz, enabling them to offer financial services to a fast-growing and essential segment of the workforce today - freelancers. We share with Friz a mission to increase financial inclusion and we believe that our advanced product offering will enable Friz users to benefit from a unique and seamless embedded finance experience,” said MatchMove’s Chief Commercial Officer, Amar Abrol.
