LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) today announces an expansion of its digital offering for issuers, public and private companies with an investment in OpenExchange Inc. The announcement deepens our three-year partnership with OpenExchange during which OpenExchange technology has helped to power SparkLive.

The expanded partnership will make it easier for issuers and investors to communicate securely via a digital platform. It can be used by any public or private company to engage with a global audience. Every company joining the London Stock Exchange will now be able to webcast some of their corporate events as part of their core listing package.

SparkLive offers a market-related virtual events and communications solution that is used for on-demand access to corporate earnings calls, AGMs and capital markets and investor roadshows. It is available on londonstockexchange.com and attracts over two million visits each month.

Julia Hoggett, CEO of LSE plc said:
“The pandemic has shown the value of a trusted, high quality digital platform for companies who need to engage with a global audience. This has, in turn, prompted rapid digital innovation to meet what continues to be a growing demand. This demand is only expected to grow as companies change the way they do business and look to reduce the environmental impact of their engagement with the capital markets.

“Our investment in OpenExchange cements a strong partnership and secures a world class digital capability for SparkLive, the premier destination for companies who need to reach a global audience with on-demand content and high-quality live events.”

Digital Transformation in Capital Markets
High quality, trusted digital connectivity has become vital for issuers and public and private companies seeking to innovate, improve efficiency or extend the reach of their investor engagement programmes with hybrid and virtual tools.

Mark Loehr, CEO of OpenExchange said:
“The OE|LSEG partnership has strengthened over the last three years with the number of jointly executed events increasing four-fold even during the challenging pandemic scenario. People are very much looking for a central and trusted content destination, and we intend to establish LSEG’s SparkLive platform as the destination of choice for public and private company communications.

“OpenExchange’s values clearly align with LSEG’s commitment to excellence.”

LSEG will also collaborate with OpenExchange in areas such as technology, innovation and business development. Darko Hajdukovic, LSEG Head of Multi-Asset Primary Markets and Investment Funds will join the OpenExchange Board as a Non-Executive Director.
