John Schlesinger, Chief Enterprise Architect at Temenos, brings additional deep technology expertise to the company. John has worked as a software developer and architect for forty years, including long spells at IBM, where he developed the CICS transaction processing platform, and now at Temenos. In the ten years that he has worked at Temenos, he has helped introduce architectural changes that have allowed the company to scale to meet the transaction volumes of the world’s largest banks as well as to transition from on-premise to cloud-first deployment.

John Schlesinger’s appointment coincides with a period of rapid growth for Assure Hedge and his experience will help the company to enhance its technology infrastructure. Assure Hedge works with financial and non-financial companies to provide currency services to their end clients, through a white-labelled platform, which it launched last month, or via API integration. Over recent months, the volume of activity has accelerated with the sign up of a large number of partners and it is critical that the company infrastructure scales to meet this demand.

Before agreeing to join, I conducted a deep dive on the technology architecture with the CTO and his team and I have been impressed by what I’ve seen. I am looking forward to contributing to the architectural roadmap to ensure that the platform can evolve to meet the needs of its users as hedging services become embedded into the everyday user journeys of millions of consumers at thousands of businesses across the globe.”

With this appointment and others, Assure Hedge is strengthening its team to capitalize on growth and in preparation for a new funding round. The appointment of John Schlesinger follows the appointment of Pritesh Ruparel, who joined from Sucden Financial as Chief Commercial Officer in the summer. Given the acceleration in the business, the company, which raised EUR5m earlier in the year, is now also looking to raise additional funding from new and existing shareholders.
