Linking directly to Selestia's extranet, advisers and brokers using Plum Software can download information straight into their back office systems. Data is updated automatically through a single keystroke for any selection of clients, products and providers and the fund names and details are added and updated. A full history of downloads is also held. This ensures accuracy of information and saves the administrators and advisers valuable time for what would normally be a highly admin-intensive task.

As well as Selestia, Plum Software links to a further twelve Providers including: Abbey, Clerical Medical, Cofunds, Fidelity Funds Network, Friends Provident, Scottish Equitable, Skandia, Standard Life, Legal & General, Prudential, Norwich Union and Transact.

Ann Dempster, founder and managing director of Plum Software, said: "We are continuing to develop our service by providing as many provider links as possible. Feedback from our users has confirmed that having access to a variety of provider extranets and portal services is paramount in saving them valuable time and money, and enabling them to spend more time with their clients. We have now nearly completed our links to the majority of providers that supply links to send investment details to software."

As one of the leading independent software houses on the market, Plum Software provides a front and back office solution to advisers and mortgage brokers to manage all their business needs through a single integrated system. It handles everything from managing sales processes, completing administrative tasks, and enabling compliance to analysing business needs. It is suitable for both commission and fee-based advisers.

According to Paul Miles, strategic development manager of Selestia: "Becoming a new provider link to Plum Software was an easy decision as the service it provides is well-respected within the industry. Part of our proposition to advisers is about business efficiency and our decision to link with Plum will make life easier for advisers. More than 70% of business submitted to Selestia is done online and having a link with Plum will be another step in helping to reduce the admin intensive task faced by advisers and will be a step forward in ensuring even more business transactions are carried out online."
