CyberSource appoints Kirsten Fry-Sanchez and Jay Martin to new VP posts

CyberSource Corporation (NASDAQ:CYBS), a leading provider of electronic payment and risk management solutions, today announced the appointment of two vice presidents. Kirsten Fry-Sanchez has been named vice president, product management. Jay Martin of CyberSource has been promoted to the position of vice president, engineering.

In her new position, Fry-Sanchez will oversee product planning and product management activities for all CyberSource solutions. She will report to Bill McKiernan, CyberSource chairman and CEO. Martin will direct the engineering activities for all CyberSource products, including global electronic payment, risk, compliance management, and reporting. He will continue to report to Robert Ford, executive vice president and CTO.

Fry-Sanchez was most recently vice president of global online services for First Data Corporation's Western Union web business. In that capacity, she managed the company's strategic direction, international expansion and new product initiatives. She also worked closely with the BidPay subsidiary of First Data Corporation that was recently acquired by CyberSource. Prior to that role, she served as vice president for eCommerce and marketing at First Data. Before her tenure at First Data, Fry-Sanchez had a ten year career at Royal Caribbean Cruises where, among other duties, she oversaw the industry's first automated distribution system for trade partners and played a key role in the organization's initial entry into eCommerce.

Martin has been with CyberSource for over seven years. Prior to his promotion to vice president, engineering, he was senior director of engineering where he oversaw development activity for the majority of the company's products and solutions. Before joining CyberSource, Martin was a manager at Sterling Software, working on projects for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
