SunGard today announced that QUATREM Group Insurance company has selected SunGard's GP3 to help it automate its entire back-office operations.

SunGard's GP3 is a Web-based administration and accounting solution that manages all types of funds on a single, unified platform.

Managing approximately EUR 4 billion, QUATREM is a key player in the group insurance business (health insurance, personal risk, life and disability, pension and employee savings) in Europe. It selected GP3 for its ability to meet QUATREM's requirements in terms of functionality and services. GP3, which will be implemented on an ASP basis, will help integrate the internal trade-lifecycle, from transaction initiation through to settlement, with the goal of helping to improve productivity.

Jean-Pierre Desfarge, accounting director at QUATREM, commented: "We chose SunGard GP3 because of its extensive functional coverage and proven ability to support global organizations on a single, unified platform. GP3 will help us to increase productivity, adapt to new regulations and manage sophisticated funds."

Bernard Huré, president of SunGard's GP3 business unit, added: "We are very pleased by QUATREM's decision to select GP3. This demonstrates our ability to address the requirements of insurance companies and fund administrators. We look forward to working with QUATREM and to help it to strengthen its position in the insurance industry."
