The move comes as the consultancy builds upon strong revenue growth and continues to expand its network of institutional clients across the wholesale banking and alternative investment markets.

Brincat, who joins Rule Financial from financial consultancy City Practitioners, brings with him more than six years of specialist financial services and technology sales experience. His appointment reflects Rule Financial's strong growth and the need to boost its sales and technical staff to support an expanding client base. While at City Practitioners, Brincat worked with senior IT and business users at Tier 1 investment banks in London, Europe and the US, to claim several high-profile wins. Prior to City Practitioners, Brincat held a senior US-based sales role at global IT services organisation Infotech Enterprises.

Commenting on his appointment, Brincat says: "Rule Financial offers a dynamic and flexible approach to projects and problem solving, delivering best-of-breed solutions for its clients. I was drawn to Rule Financial by its excellent reputation and "can do" attitude. My experience and contacts within the banking sector will allow me to continue to grow Rule Financial's client network and enhance the strong revenue growth already seen at the consultancy this year. I am very much looking forward to working with this innovative team."

David Field, Managing Director, Rule Financial, adds: "We employ the best people in the business and James' exceptional track record further strengthens our team. Rule Financial's commitment to delivering tailored consultancy services and solutions, while maintaining the highest levels of client service, has allowed us to attract and retain some of the best people in the market. We have a number of exciting and innovative projects ongoing in both the mainstream and alternative investment arenas and with a continued focus on expanding our excellent skills base, we believe we can continue with above-market growth."
