Hudson Financial Solutions, a provider of end-to-end solutions for complex financial issues, continues to establish itself as a leader in accounting and finance consulting with the addition of Steve Biskie, national manager, Information Technology (IT) Risk.
In this role, he will be responsible for quality assurance, tools and methodology, and sales and thought leadership within the IT Risk practice.
Prior to joining Hudson, Biskie ran the Sarbanes-Oxley initiative for a large insurance and health care provider. Biskie began his career as an IT auditor and consultant at Deloitte. He subsequently ran the process improvement and systems implementation arm of Jefferson Wells.
"We are pleased to welcome Steve to round out our management team," said Dee Lonn, executive vice president, Hudson Financial Solutions. "While companies have been focusing on IT risk related to financial statements and reporting because of Sarbanes-Oxley, IT audit goes well beyond that into other areas, which often reveal more tangible financial outcomes. Steve's deep practical knowledge in this and other areas will be a tremendous asset in serving our clients, as well as to our firm as we expand our market presence."
Biskie is a nationally recognized expert and frequent speaker on the topics of controlling implementation risks, addressing Sarbanes-Oxley and auditing ERP systems. He has authored articles on performance improvement, software selection, implementation risks, and successful benchmarking. He is a frequent instructor for the Information Systems Audit & Control Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, SAP Insider magazine, and several other large organizations. Biskie holds an MBA with a concentration in Accounting Information Systems from Michigan State University. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
