Cooper Investors, a leading specialist in the management of equity funds, serves large pension and superannuation funds, high net worth individuals, Australian State Government agencies, charities and top 100 corporates.

Charles River IMS is a comprehensive front-to-middle office software suite for portfolio management and modelling (Charles River Manager), order management and electronic trading (Charles River Trader), real-time compliance monitoring (Charles River Compliance), and the centralised management of trade matching, confirmation and settlement workflow (Charles River Post-Trade).

"After reviewing a variety of systems, we chose Charles River due to their clear understanding of our functional and business requirements. We required a firm with not only local presence, but also with local and global market expertise and capabilities, specifically in the Australian equity market and on the FIX protocol," said Peter Cooper, Managing Director of Cooper Investors. "By implementing Charles River IMS and FIX messaging we have a seamless trade workflow which provides complete support for all investment classes, foreign and domestic exchanges, and all trade message types. Charles River IMS' automated electronic allocations, compliance capabilities and extensive modelling features greatly improve our workflow and allow us to eliminate manual updates to Excel spreadsheets. Charles River IMS greatly enhances our risk management processes."

Cameron Field, managing director, Asia-Pacific at Charles River Development, stated: "Cooper Investors are another example of an Australian operation that has recognised Charles River IMS' suitability to manage all types of global securities including large and small cap equities. Our N-Tier service oriented architecture (SOA) and customized business approach provide the flexibility needed to solve problems for our clients, including streamlined connectivity to multiple data feeds and counterparties."
