AWS brings sustainable finance data provider to its Data Exchange

Source: Arabesque S-Ray

Sustainability scores and data products from Arabesque S-Ray are now available on AWS Data Exchange, it has been announced today.

This will allow customers to integrate a suite of ESG metrics for investment management, company analysis, risk management, compliance and reporting, whilst being able to access raw emissions data for over 3,000 companies worldwide.

The move is part of Arabesque’s strategy of expanding its services to meet rapidly increasing demand for sustainability and AI technology solutions in financial markets.

Covering over 8,000 of the world’s largest listed corporations, the machine learning technology of Arabesque S-Ray combines over 250 ESG metrics with news signals from over 30,000 sources to drive key sustainability insights for its clients.

It is the first tool of its kind to rate companies on the normative principles of the United Nations Global Compact (GC Score). S-Ray also provides an industry-specific assessment of companies' performance on financially material sustainability criteria (ESG Score), together with an assessment of how companies report their emissions (Temperature Score).

These scores are combined with a preferences filter that assesses a company's business involvements.

AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 175 fully featured services to millions of customers globally from its data centres.

With Arabesque S-Ray amongst the first ESG data providers on AWS Data Exchange, the new agreement simplifies access for users to daily, unbiased corporate sustainability information.

Clients are able to use the AWS Data Exchange API to load Arabesque S-Ray data directly into Amazon’s data storage and analyse it with AWS analytics and machine learning services. Additionally, every time new Arabesque S-Ray data is published, clients will receive an Amazon CloudWatch event that allows them to programmatically consume the data.

Established in 2013, Arabesque is a leading provider of technology solutions for sustainable finance, with three integrated businesses offering ESG investment strategies, data and insights for financial decision-making, and AI investment technology.
