The purchase allows Tiger Consultants to extend the strategic consultancy, research, project management and recruitment services that they currently provide to institutional and private wealth managers into the retail asset management sector.

The Hobbes Group have gained a reputation for providing expert strategic consultancy and implementation services to fund retailing operations and administration projects since their establishment in 2001. As part of Tiger Consultants, this service offering will be strengthened by the ability to draw upon the expertise and delivery capability within a larger organisation.

Since their incorporation in 1995, Tiger Consultants have grown their business organically. Over the past twelve months they have seen significantly increased activity within the financial services market and have extended their delivery capacity accordingly. They have established a strong business infrastructure to allow them to provide a wider range of services to the asset management industry.

As Joanne Lewis, Managing Director, explains: "We have employed ten new members of staff in the past year to allow us to better service our institutional and private wealth management clients. At the same time we have been increasingly working with The Hobbes Group to meet demands for specialist retail asset management knowledge. We felt it was time to pull these two strands together to offer a more comprehensive service to the entire asset management industry."

The Hobbes Group will continue to trade under its existing name until summer 2006, although the company's staff will transfer to Tiger with immediate effect.

Gordon Easden, founding partner of The Hobbes Group and now Head of Retail Consultancy at Tiger Consultants, comments: "Tiger and I have worked together on a number of projects in the past, and we found there to be a great deal of synergy between the services that we offer and the way in which we provide them. I am now looking forward to being able to offer a more comprehensive service to our existing clients and building relationships with new ones."
