The year 2005 has generated a record turnover of 39,02 million euros, i.e. an increase of 16,03% compared with the last financial year.
The operating result peaks at 5,5 million euros, i.e. an improvement of nearly 13% compared with last year.
The new important contracts both in Belgium and on the International scene sustain these excellent results. Let's name, among others, Ireland and New Zealand (with the Rabobank group), Great Britain and Luxembourg.
This success reflects at the same time the high satisfaction of all the clients of Callataÿ & Wouters. According to the recent Banking System Survey 2005 by KPMG, its clients are completely satisfied with the provided solutions and services.
This satisfaction is mostly due to the professionalism, to the total commitment of C&W in terms of budgets, deadlines and quality. All the projects carried out by the company – without any exception – have been completed successfully, which is a remarkable fact in this domain.
"In addition to the quality of our services, this satisfaction is based on the reliability and modernity of our products," comments Didier de Callataÿ, CEO. And he adds: "Our efforts in R&D are indeed very significant, 25% of our specialists are dedicated to this part of the business, ensuring in this way the future of our software solutions."
The Research & Development department of Callataÿ & Wouters is currently working on different subjects: their efforts focus, among others, on the evolution of the Thaler product (based on Java technologies) in a SOA architecture, on business process management (BPM), and other subjects that will make the banking solutions of tomorrow.
The outcome of all these efforts has unquestionably been the award of the Company of the Year that Callataÿ & Wouters carried off at the end of 2005.
Philippe de Wouters, Director, states: "Our reputation on the international scene grows vigorously. The title of the Company of the Year only reinforces this reputation. It consolidates the seriousness of our offer and puts in the spotlight a company coming from a sometimes unknown country." He says further: "New commercial successes show in this way that Callataÿ & Wouters is taken into account at the time of choosing a banking system all over the world."
To date Callataÿ & Wouters employs 360 people in 8 countries. The recruitment continues in a steady rhythm in order to be able to meet the growing needs of its clients. In 2005 Callataÿ & Wouters hired more than 60 new employees. Permanent training and personal supervision make up the foundation of its HR philosophy.
Let's notice that in order to cope with the strengthening of its workforce, the subsidiary of Callataÿ & Wouters in Luxembourg has moved into new more spacious offices. These new offices are located in the business park of Mamer-Capellen.
