ClearCourse Partnership LLP (“ClearCourse” or “the Group”), a group of innovative technology companies providing useful, integrated software solutions, has acquired Mosaic Software Limited (“Mosaic” or “the Company”), a cutting-edge payments solutions provider based in East Kilbride, Scotland.

Mosaic, ClearCourse’s 22nd acquisition, adds to the Group’s rapidly growing payments processing capabilities.

Mosaic was founded in 1994 and has since been at the forefront of digital payments software solutions and web-based services in the UK. Mosaic’s product suite comprises BACS clearing, in-depth direct debit management, bank payment file generation, bank account validation and address validation, ensuring it can provide a full range of services for its over 500 clients including Aberdeen Football Club, the Leicester Tigers, Chester Zoo and Northumbrian Water. The Company’s solutions have been built from the ground up, with customer service and care intrinsic to its offering.

Mosaic’s direct debit capabilities are highly complementary to ClearCourse’s existing payments businesses and the teams will work closely to deliver innovative new solutions to their clients. In addition, Mosaic will benefit from a range of other value-added services, as well as operational guidance from the ClearCourse management team.

Gerry Gualtieri, CEO of ClearCourse, said: “Mosaic is an excellent business and we’re very pleased to welcome the team to ClearCourse. Payments has been a core element of ClearCourse since our foundation in 2018 and Mosaic will be instrumental in helping us cement our leading position in the UK market. I look forward to working with Ian and his team as we continue to expand our suite of payments capabilities.”

Ian Rodger, founder and owner of Mosaic Software, commented: “I’m immensely proud of the journey Mosaic has been on over the past 25 years. As we look to the next phase of growth, we see the huge value that ClearCourse brings to the business. Having consistently been at the forefront of digital transformation in the payments industry, we’re cognisant of the growing need for collaboration in order to drive expansion at scale. We see an exciting opportunity to continue our innovative journey with ClearCourse and look forward to doing so.”

The financial terms of the deal are undisclosed.
