Digital banking and lending platform company, LEVERIS, has selected Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud computing provider, as it continues to reimagine the future of banking.

The LEVERIS platform, which is entirely software-defined, operates in the cloud and is completely independent of legacy core banking technology, is now live and has already enabled major financial services firm, Link Group - one of the largest independent loan servicers in Europe - to enter the Dutch mortgage servicing market.

Conor Fennelly, LEVERIS founder and CEO, said: “We aim to make it seamless, secure and reliable for clients to use our platform in whatever way they choose to provide financial services. LEVERIS’ collaboration with AWS plays an important role in this.

"It helps clients to deliver innovative and secure banking and lending solutions to customers at a reduced cost and faster rate, starting with Link Group in the Netherlands and continuing with LEVERIS Digital Bank, our market-ready, core banking system that comes pre-integrated with the essential banking services that traditional banks, challenger banks and consumer brands need to launch and run a digital bank.”

Robbie Hughes, Global CEO, Banking & Credit Management, Link Group, said: “The LEVERIS platform delivers enhanced user experiences without complexity, simply and efficiently. Our partnership with LEVERIS has enabled us to enhance traction across the broader banking universe through the application of next-generation technology.”

As a result of using the LEVERIS platform, Link Group’s headcount requirement to operate its Dutch loan servicing solution was reduced by 25 per cent. This, coupled with shortened test cycles and increased operational efficiency provided by the cloud, enabled Link Group to make a 60-70 per cent saving on operational costs.

LEVERIS uses a range of AWS services including compute, analytics, security, databases and storage. It means banks and other organisations looking to enter financial services can take a flexible, real-time and open architecture approach to banking and lending and take advantage of a wide variety of retail banking products in the cloud such as current accounts, deposit and savings accounts, multi-currency, personal loans, mortgage management and much more.

Using AWS will help LEVERIS to accelerate its efforts to dramatically reduce the time and cost of digital transformation for legacy banks and to enable new entrants to set up fully functional digital banks within a matter of weeks from a standing start. For example, LEVERIS can build an environment that would have previously taken three months at a traditional bank in just 24 hours.

AWS enables firms to modernise their infrastructure, meet rapidly changing consumer behaviours and expectations, and accelerate business growth - all while helping them to meet the most stringent security, compliance and regulatory requirements.
