UK Finance today announces the appointment of David Postings as its new Chief Executive.
The decision to appoint David has been made with the unanimous support of the Board of UK Finance. This follows a rigorous recruitment process, led by Sapphire Partners and UK Finance’s nominations committee.
Commenting on the appointment, David Postings said:

David Postings will be joining UK Finance on 1st January, 2021. Bob Wigley will continue as the Executive Chair of UK Finance until David takes up his role as CEO.
David was appointed as the UK Chief Executive for Bibby Financial Services in April 2012 and served as Global Chief Executive from September 2015 until he stepped down last month. David has over 40 years’ experience in financial services and has held senior roles at Barclays where he led Barclays Sales Financing in the late 1990s and went on to run the Barclays Group IT and Operations business before joining Lloyds TSB as Managing Director of the Commercial Bank in 2004. David was also Chief Executive of Cattles PLC and TTT Moneycorp, before joining Bibby. David has been a Non Executive Director of UK Finance since September 2018.
