CubeLogic, the market leading provider of enterprise risk management solutions for the energy, commodities, and financial services industries has successfully configured and deployed their ‘RiskCubed in the Cloud’ SaaS (Software as a Service) offering in Azure China.
This development was managed by Chris Cantle, CubeLogic’s Chief Information Officer, and was implemented due to increasing client demand. The system is now live and integrates Azure China into CubeLogic’s operational services.
CubeLogic supports some 45 clients, all with multinational business requirements. The extension of the ‘RiskCubed in the Cloud’ (SaaS) offering will aid business development in this large and complex region. China brings many unique challenges, but the team have worked closely with Microsoft to overcome language barriers and cultural differences. CubeLogic acquired an ICP (Internet Content Provider) license that allows public access outside of China through the Chinese firewall and successfully integrated with the Azure Global regions. CubeLogic are now fully equipped to service clients in this important region and have successfully completed all of the due diligence to comply with local data privacy laws.
Chris Cantle, CubeLogic CIO comments. “The cloud is enabling businesses of all sizes to operate on a global scale. Historically, working with companies based in China may have been too complex, but with the latest technology regional borders (in terms of delivering technology) are fading. That said, there is a lot of attention, and rightly so, on data privacy and security. The good news is that Microsoft and all of the major CSPs have invested heavily in developing cloud infrastructure which is accessible and offers high functionality to all. We have found that to truly benefit from all of the latest developments that these tech titans bring... DevOps, CIMD etc… you need to focus on one provider. Azure is embedded in almost all organizations due to the prevalence of O365 so it was the natural choice for our SaaS solution. ‘RiskCubed in the Cloud’ is now in use in around 35% of our client base and whilst there is still a long way to go for all industries to truly benefit from all that cloud brings, we have geared our roadmap to ensure that RiskCubed stays ahead of the game.”
