The Digital Activity Customer (DAC) role approved by Mastercard allows partner companies to make technical and commercial services available to parties who wish to enable digital payments in the fields of IoT and online payments or more precisely Card-on-File. As an authorized Digital Activity Customer, G+D Mobile Security handles the on-boarding of customers to Mastercard's digital payment services provided by MDES (Mastercard Digital Enablement Service), a time-consuming task for many companies. Additionally, all necessary contractual items are covered. With an existing integration to Mastercard, G+D can quickly and easily connect new customers to the Mastercard token services. Interested Mastercard customers can thus save time and money, offer new services faster, and be assured that a contractual framework is in place.

G+D can support various providers of digital payment solutions with the new service, including watch producers that want to offer a payment function as well as other wearable manufacturers or merchants digitalizing their existing card base. Further potential beneficiaries are automotive manufacturers integrating payments into their range of vehicles or other actors in the IoT space requiring secure and easy payments.

The new offering is based on Convego CloudPay, a proven, scalable platform for digital payments by G+D. The comprehensive solution is responsible for the enablement of network tokenization and the lifecycle management of these tokenized payment cards as well as securely providing card-holder authentication and therefore enabling unified user experience. Convego CloudPay is connected to numerous token service providers (TSPs) such as Mastercard and its MDES platform, enabling customers of G+D to service consumers across multiple payment brands.

Benjamin Dessy, Head of Mastercard Engage noted: "Mastercard is committed to provide an array of seamless and secure payment options that brings convenience in people's everyday life. The digital world offers many opportunities for businesses, provided they have the right foundation. We are delighted that G+D is a fully approved Digital Activity Customer that will enable many businesses to swiftly and easily benefit from the advantages brought by Mastercard".

"Today's consumers expect to be able to pay anywhere and anytime in multiple channels and with a range of devices without compromising on security. Providing innovative digital payment solutions is therefore a central concern for G+D," emphasizes Jukka Yliuntinen, Head of Digital Solutions at G+D Mobile Security. "Being a Digital Activity Customer for Mastercard, we can now offer several industries a further secure and easy-to-use digital payment option".
