BTON hires Cern physicist Emmet Cawley and LSE sales exec Justin Hudson

BTON Financial, the independent outsourced dealing desk for asset managers, has announced the appointment of Emmett Cawley as Head of Data Science and Algos and Justin Hudson as Head of Sales, to lead the firm’s expansion strategy.

Emmet and Justin will be instrumental in delivering BTON Financial’s mission to support asset managers in taking advantage of the emerging liquidity and execution opportunities while also ensuring regulatory compliance.

Emmett Cawley, a former quant trader and CERN physicist, has more than 15 years experience in data focused trading and quant strategies. Previously, he held senior quantitative trading tenures at Nomura, Millenium, Credit Suisse and UBS. As Head of Data Science and Algos. Emmett’s appointment highlights BTON Financial’s unique data and technology offerings and will leverage smart data usage and analytics to drive future trading results from past trading performance using the latest in technology.

Justin Hudson joins from the London Stock Exchange, where he spent nearly a decade in senior technology sales roles. As Head of Sales at BTON Financial Justin will lead the sales team and support the increasing demand for BTON Financial’s outsourced dealing desk. His focus will be on the asset management community, building upon his longstanding relationships with firms in the UK and across Europe.

Together, they join BTON Financial to drive adoption of its outsourced dealing desk. By using BTON Financial, asset managers are able to maintain an edge over their peers, implement trading strategies effectively, ensuring that investment intentions are not undermined by poor execution quality as a result of inadequate legacy technology.
