ShapeShift Global Limited, one of the world’s leading self-custody crypto trading platforms, announced today that fintech marketing and engineering executive Lisa Loud has joined ShapeShift as Chief Operations Officer.
As ShapeShift’s Chief Operations Officer, Loud will lead the company’s overarching marketing, international expansion, and engineering efforts. In doing so, she will guide ShapeShift’s concerted growth strategy across the globe. ShapeShift’s co-founder and prior COO, Jon, now moves into the Chief Product Officer role.
“Lisa’s expertise in data-driven customer acquisition, engineering, and product iteration make her a vital addition to our team,” said Erik Voorhees, Founder and CEO of ShapeShift. “As we move into the next phase of our growth, we’ll look to Lisa’s experience with businesses like Apple, PayPal, and BitMex, to build the world’s greatest crypto company.”
Loud brings over two decades of fintech experience, specializing in systematic revenue growth and business expansion. She is a former Senior Engineer at Apple and Oracle, led digital marketing at PayPal, and in 2017-2018, was the Chief Marketing Officer at BitMex. Lisa helped launch PayPal into the Canadian market and was later promoted to Head of Merchant Acquisition in North America.
“I’ve always had a strong desire to be on the cutting edge of new technologies,” said ShapeShift COO, Lisa Loud. “I see digital assets as having the opportunity to not only revolutionize the global economy, but to support the growth of developing nations. ShapeShift exists at the frontier of these new technologies, and is working to help a wider audience understand its potential.”
Loud joins ShapeShift following the company’s November announcement of commission-free trading on its platform. ShapeShift was the first to offer commission-free trading between cryptocurrencies. Learn more at ShapeShift.com/free-trading.
