Segmint Inc., a leading provider of data-driven solutions for financial institutions, announces that it has entered into an asset purchase agreement with WAND, Inc, the global leader in pre-defined taxonomies and taxonomy professional services.

Segmint will acquire WAND’s Product and Service Taxonomy division, including its key personnel and intellectual property.

Combining Segmint and WAND's Product and Service taxonomy division aligns Segmint's data analytics platform with WAND's taxonomy and data normalization capabilities. Segmint will continue to service the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy division customers as well as the markets it currently serves. “We are excited about the addition of the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy division and its incredibly talented staff of Library Scientists to Segmint,” said Adam Craig, President of Segmint, “WAND’s expertise will help Segmint better categorize, structure, and manage our transactions, and further solidifies Segmint’s position as the market leader in the data analytics and customer insights space.”

Ross Leher, WAND’s CEO added, “As one of WAND’s oldest customers, Segmint’s platform has been the most compelling application for the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy. Segmint will be a perfect home for the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy division and its customers.”

Ross will continue to lead WAND, Inc. and will focus on Enterprise Taxonomy Division, providing the WAND industry vertical and business function taxonomies for use in leading enterprise knowledge applications.
