GoldenSource will implement the unique business process CIBC World Markets has defined for managing how new accounts are created; corporate background and due diligence checks are researched; and how supporting legal agreements are captured and stored. Background data will be automatically requested from a third party research vendor and logged and recorded upon receipt from the vendor. CIBC World Markets will now benefit from real-time access to PDF versions of legal agreements from within the GoldenSource Customers and Counterparties solution.

A major factor in CIBC World Markets’ selection of GoldenSource is the ability of the GoldenSource Customers and Counterparties solution to support the bank’s proprietary risk scheme that assigns a risk rating to each CIBC World Markets’ client and their associated accounts. CIBC World Markets’ proprietary risk algorithm will also be utilized to manage account documentation renewal. Based on this risk rating, the GoldenSource solution will automatically prioritize client accounts and the associated documentation and produce a daily list of accounts which must be re-assessed and undergo document and compliance review.

CIBC World Markets is also integrating services provided by Cicada. In addition to providing entity source data to CIBC World Markets through its distribution agreement with CounterpartyLink, Cicada is providing additional data customized to CIBC World Markets’ requirements, as well as financial and AML-related document research and sourcing. This data will be passed to the GoldenSource solution, managed through a series of review and approval steps and ultimately stored within the GoldenSource Customers and Counterparties solution.
