Financial Technologies International (FTI), the leading provider of financial enterprise software (FES) to the global banking and securities industry, today announced the availability of the newest version of the core products that comprise StreetEnterprise, the industry's leading securities processing solution.

With specific functionality enhancements and the introduction of additional features across all product areas, customers benefit from improved product performance, availability, recovery and scalability to support increasing volumes.

"As more and more firms are taking an enterprise-wide perspective of their back office environments, the adoption of a single integrated operating platform is a strategic means of gaining heightened levels of efficiency," says Michael Meriton, president and CEO of FTI. "We're excited about this new version of StreetEnterprise because FTI was created to extend the boundaries of securities processing. These include handling increasingly complex instruments, integrating data from a wide variety of sources, automating processing to reduce the rate of errors, and moving to a real-time operations environment."

The latest version of the separate core components of StreetEnterprise includes enhanced functionality that meets FTI's client needs. This includes some of the best-known names in the financial services industry, representing custodians, investment banks, broker-dealers, fund managers and clearing houses. The new features were unveiled at FTI's recent bi-annual User Forum held in London. This Forum gives customers a critical communication vehicle to shape FTI plans for future product releases that reflect the way they transact business and emerging market trends.

StreetEnterprise version 6.2 continues the process of harmonizing the architecture and operating environment across all FTI applications, releasing the performance and scalability benefits of the underlying Oracle UIX framework. Key improvements include:

* Web enabled interfaces to take advantage of the improvements in java
based technology;
* Improved graphical user interface tools to facilitate greater
customer control over user screens;
* New data management features designed to ease the selection,
implementation and use of reference data throughout an organization;
* A focus on exception-based processing to increase efficiency across
the enterprise and reduce trade fails;
* Enhanced reporting capabilities delivering a wide range of standard and customized reports for better operations and management assessment.

By implementing the above, as well as a variety of processing, transactional and reporting features, FTI is delivering to its customers the ability to respond to the business driver for near real-time transaction processing and accessibility.

The StreetEnterprise 6.2 architecture is designed to provide full enterprise level availability, recovery and scalability. The use of full Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) as the infrastructure for the products gives complete audit and control capabilities.

Bob Wolfert, EVP of product management, comments: "By building close working partnerships with our customers, FTI continues to improve its core product line and deliver innovative enterprise software solutions that answer their business challenges today and empower them for greater success tomorrow."

StreetEnterprise addresses the needs of securities sub-ledger accounting(StreetBooks), reference data management (StreetReference), transaction life cycle management (StreetDirector) and corporate actions processing (StreetActions) from one single operating platform, underpinned by an industry leading data model (StreetModel.) This platform enables firms to bring together data from disparate sources in real-time and to streamline processes while reducing costs and operational risks.
