SIBS, a leader in payments processing and financial technological services in Europe, launched the new feature "Utilizar MULTIBANCO" (USE AN ATM) in MB WAY (an interbank solution available in an own app and in the bank mobile channels in Portugal).
The "Utilizar MULTIBANCO" feature allows the access to any ATM from MULTIBANCO’s Network only using the smartphone, giving users the possibility to operate the majority of the ATM’s functionalities without the need of a bankcard. This novelty is only available in Portugal.
To have access to the ATM, simply press the green button and choose the option "Utilizar MULTIBANCO". Then, the user only needs to read the QR Code displayed on the screen with MB WAY. Like all MB WAY operations, an in-app authentication is required with a PIN (6-digit), touchID, fingerprint or faceID. Only after this validation, the ATM is unblocked and the user can access the menu and the majority of the ATM's operations, namely favorite Portuguese features such as Payment of Services, State Payments, Transports and Mobile Top-Ups.

SIBS offers dozens of operations in the ATM network that intend to suit its users, both private and businesses, giving more convenience and safety to those who use them.
SIBS launched MB WAY in 2015 to be the most modern and complete payments solution in Portugal that allows 8 different operations: purchases with NFC and QR Code in the store, online purchases with the mobile phone number, generation of MB NET cards, send money, ask for money or split the account, and now cash withdrawals and use the ATM without a bankcard.
MB WAY service is available in an app for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets and in the online and mobile channels of banks operating in Portugal.
The use of MB WAY confirms the preference of the Portuguese for mobile and immediate payments - the service has more than 1.5 million users that make about 5 million operations per month.
