Wachovia Corporation (NYSE:WB) announced today that it ranked number one in Change Science's Customer Experience benchmarking report.
More than 20 financial services Web sites were analyzed measuring the ease of use for performing online banking functions, customers' ability to enroll in online banking, the prominence of information about fraud prevention, and the ability to quickly communicate with a customer service representative.
"This recognition is the culmination of Wachovia's tireless efforts to provide a first-rate experience to our online customers, said Gloria Chance, Wachovia's chief eCommerce officer. "This is also validation that Wachovia has raised the standard for online excellence and we will continue to find ways to improve and enhance the site to meet our customers' needs."
Last year, Wachovia introduced a new site design that featured prominent links to customer service in addition to privacy and security information, as well as easy access to areas customers visit most, including loan rates and retirement information. Additionally, the home page features a log-in section that allows customers to quickly and conveniently access their online banking, brokerage and retirement plan accounts.
Two months ago, Wachovia launched its new online banking and BillPay platform that introduced a new level of usability by providing simpler and swifter navigation and seamless integration of various money management functions.
