In this role, he is responsible for managing all aspects of the software development process so that Confluence can continue to deliver industry-leading data management products for its asset, fund management and service provider clients. The role was created to streamline and strengthen the development process for Confluence’s data aggregation, management and reporting solutions that help optimize performance, regulatory reporting and investor communications for many of the world’s top financial companies. Wheeler reports directly to Todd Moyer, who was recently promoted to President.

Wheeler comes to Confluence with 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, leading teams as they delivered cutting-edge technology solutions. Wheeler spent the past 14 years at global financial services technology provider FIS (previously SunGard), where he most recently served as Vice President, Product Engineering. In this role he led a team of 80 development and quality assurance professionals in the development of financial services software products, and supported audit and corporate compliance. At FIS, Wheeler also provided oversight of Database Administration and Performance Engineering teams and was the primary liaison with corporate security.

“Confluence is known as a global leader in data-driven managed investment solutions,” commented Wheeler. “Faced with a constantly evolving regulatory landscape, our clients face unprecedented challenges that can only be met with the development of new technology. I’m excited to be joining a team that thinks differently about the power of data and I am looking forward to leading the charge to continue to deliver the highest standard of products and services for our clients.”
