The Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions (Wnet) announced today that its Board of Directors unanimously elected new leaders to its Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Board of Advisors.
The additions ensure broad leadership representation from the payment industry, enabling Wnet to provide thought leadership and empower women in payments at every level. The full roster is available on the Wnet website.
Executive Committee Appoints 2019 President
As part of the Executive Committee’s seamless leadership transition, Carol Grunberg, previously Wnet’s president-elect, moves into the role of President of the Executive Committee. Since 2013, Grunberg has been instrumental in helping Wnet drive world-class national and regional programming, networking opportunities and mentorship designed to foster gender inclusivity within the financial services and fintech industries.

Welcomes New Board Members and Appoints New Secretary and Treasurer
Wnet welcomes FIS Division Executive of International Payments Serena Smith and Green Rhino Recruitment Managing Director Liz Pike to its Board of Directors. Smith has served on Wnet’s Mentoring Committee and delivered the keynote speech at the 2018 Wnet Leadership Summit. A Wnet Chapter Leader and Rising Star Advisor, Pike has been heavily involved in Wnet’s education, membership and Leadership Summit initiatives in addition to serving on the Payments 101 Task Force.
Discover Financial Services’ Vice President of Credit Operations Kelly Tufts also joins the Executive Committee as the newly-elected Secretary. On the Wnet Board since 2015, First Data Corporation Senior Vice President of Product Management, Product Commercialization and Client Experience Mary Uslander will serve as Treasurer, having served as Secretary in 2018.
