N26, Europe’s leading mobile bank, has today launched N26 Metal, its first premium product in the UK.

The Metal membership comes with an exclusive partner program, dedicated customer service, worldwide travel insurance and more. N26 Metal members benefit from competitive exchange rates for card purchases around the world and no extra fees when withdrawing money abroad.

The N26 Metal premium membership provides on-demand access and benefits to relevant products and services that help to simplify customers’ everyday lives: a comprehensive travel package that includes insurance provided by Allianz, unlimited free ATM withdrawals worldwide and no markup on payments abroad. Alongside this, Metal members benefit from real exchange rates with no markup, on both card purchases and withdrawals around the world.

Partner offerings are a key feature of Metal membership. Carefully selected to complement the lifestyle of modern customers, Metal partners provide exclusive benefits tailored to N26 users. Metal members can tap into the diverse, global member community at WeWork via their inclusive “We Membership”, travel better with Hotels.com and learn new languages through Babbel. Using their N26 Metal card, customers can also access over 1,000 lounges in the LoungeKey Airport Lounge Access network worldwide, including dining, retail and spa benefits.

The Metal card is crafted using N26’s signature minimalist design. Metal customers will be able to choose between three N26 Metal card colours: quartz rose, slate gray and charcoal black. The all-metal stainless steel card highlights the mechanically etched logos of Mastercard and N26 and has a double-coated matte finish. Weighing 18g, N26 Metal is three times heavier than a standard card.

Valentin Stalf, CEO and co-founder says: “Our premium offering is more than just a new financial product, it’s a membership package designed to make personal finance a seamless and enjoyable experience.” He continues, “We’re excited to have launched Metal in the UK and we will continue to release products in the coming weeks that solve customer problems and simplify banking.”

Mathieu Proust, General Manager for the UK & Ireland at WeWork, a Metal partner, said "We're excited to see that our partner is expanding its offering into new markets. With their focus on developing a global financial brand that goes beyond the current constraints of banking, N26 is rethinking personal finance for a mobile generation and we're happy to see this extended to the UK."
