Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announced that Craig Bennett has joined the company in Singapore to lead sales in the Asia-Pacific Region.
In his new role, he will be responsible for growing Temenos’ coverage of the emerging and established economies in the Asia-Pacific region.
Craig has worked in the industry since 1988, and has been based in Asia-Pacific since 1992. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, having built extensive experience in the sale, implementation and support of technology solutions covering Treasury Capital Markets, Retail Banking, Risk Management, Retail Payments and Corporate Banking. He has worked with major international, regional and domestic banks, as well as government and semi-government institutions throughout Asia. Craig will oversee the Asia-Pacific region for Temenos, except for Japan. His core practice areas of strategic business development and sales will bring fresh impetus to Temenos’ plans in the region, as the company continues to gain momentum.
Craig Bennett, Head of Sales for Asia-Pacific, commented: “I am delighted to join the Temenos team. It is a great opportunity at a dynamic and growing company that has its finger on the pulse in the region of the rapidly growing financial services industry. I look forward to building on the company’s Asia-Pacific expansion and growth plans, and helping banks and financial institutions with their digital transformation strategies. Temenos has the world's leading banking software, which is a testament to the hard work of my new colleagues, and I am excited for the challenge of promoting our technology in the region.”
Martin Frick, Managing Director Asia-Pacific, said: “Craig is a great fit for our dynamic, growing team. With nearly three decades in the industry and in Asia, he has unrivalled experience in this space, and has seen first-hand the rate of transformation in the region both of the banking industry and of technology in this sector. I look forward to working with Craig as we continue to offer our customers our best-in-class product offering and services, and help our clients react to changing customer demands, the shift to the cloud and new entrants in the marketplace.”
Craig joins Temenos in the midst of continued growth, with banks of all sizes and types choosing to partner with Temenos on digital banking projects. In recent months, Australian challenger banks Volt Bank and Judo Capital selected Temenos to launch their digital banks in the cloud. Temenos also continues to be the market leader with established financial institutions, like Uniting Financial Services, a not-for-profit organization, that is digitally transforming from end-to-end with Temenos technology. With Temenos’ new Front Office Suite, banks are able to renovate their front end regardless of which core banking platform they are using, an option that quickly garnered interest among Asia-Pacific banks, and worldwide. The third largest private bank in Sri Lanka, Sampath Bank, became one of the first clients to sign for the solution.
