Personal Touch has integrated its highly specialised Toolbox back office and administration system with The Exchange, the leading supplier of portal services to IFAs, as part of a major business transformation designed to build scale and opportunity for its mortgage, general insurance and financial adviser intermediaries.

Midlands-based Personal Touch, one of the UK's top ten financial services networks, has introduced a package of improvements following a rigorous assessment of the market to create a leading edge technology platform for its 2000 advisers as it switches its focus from portal development to distribution.

To achieve its desired business scale Personal Touch is introducing market leading portal Exweb to provide a flexible and efficient full online quote and application facility that meets advisers needs.

To improve mortgage sourcing for its clients, Personal Touch has established formal links with Mortgage Brain and Mortgage Trading Exchange (MTE) to complete end to end mortgage transactions.

To extend its reach into the IFA market, Personal Touch is providing its full IFA back office solution Toolbox at no cost, with a subsidised quotes and application service powered by Exweb.

Martin Wilson at Personal Touch says: "Our strategy has evolved to focus on distribution and we have created a state-of-the-art technology platform – using key technology specialists such as The Exchange – with the flexibility to respond quickly to advisers' needs and market forces".

David Child adds: "Personal Touch has created an exciting proposition for the broker market that supports advisers as they expand into related areas of advice and grow their businesses. We are delighted to be part of the team to support these bold and ambitious plans and at the same time consolidate our own position as a major player in the mortgage market."
