Wall Street Systems, Inc., a leading provider of global treasury and capital markets solutions and services, today announced that its flagship product, The Wall Street System® treasury and capital markets solution, is now available on HP Integrity servers. The Wall Street System has been ported using the HP-UX 11i v2 operating system.
The Wall Street System has been available on HP-UX since 1996, and currently 65% of the Wall Street Systems client base runs the application on hardware supplied by Hewlett-Packard. The HP architecture provides high-performance processing, improved price/performance, standardization benefits and a natural migration path for clients using PA-RISC and AlphaServer technology.
Additionally, users of The Wall Street System® treasury and capital markets solution can attain reduced costs through the HP Integrity server line's unique ability to run three operating systems on a single industry-standard platform.
Mark Tirschwell, chief technology officer, Wall Street Systems, states: "HP's leading edge server technology is of strategic importance to Wall Street Systems as it supports multiple operating systems, including HP-UX, Linux, and OpenVMS. It will enable our clients to run multiple operating systems on a single server, thus reducing the overall cost of ownership."
Ron Eller, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Solution Alliances, HP, states: "The availability of The Wall Street System® treasury and capital markets solution on HP Integrity servers affords our customers a level of consolidation and efficiency critical to an Adaptive Enterprise.
This combination sets an enterprise on course to aligning its business needs with its IT infrastructure, all at a reduced cost."
