Stack releases vertical credit card

STACK, the Canadian-based fintech disruptor on a mission to do things differently, released a portrait edition of their signature Prepaid Mastercard® today - continuing to break new ground with the first vertical card to land in Canada.

STACK's vertical card joins several currencies redesigned vertically including Canada's latest $10 banknote recently flipped 90 degrees. Delivering a smarter way to spend, save or share money - STACK members can now enjoy an innovative vertical card, with better security too.

A 2015 report by Goldman Sachs found that 33% of millennials believed they wouldn't need a bank in five years, and 71% felt no relationship with their current bank. For renegade companies like STACK, disruption is part of the DNA, and that starts with fee-free services that empower members to make the most of their money. This year the Big Six banks reported billions in earnings, mostly thanks to user-fees while in under three months, STACK saved members $1.5 million dollars through disruptive rewards and services, like memberships to Netflix, Shopify, Tidal and now Amazon Prime.

In the spirit of redefining rewards and supporting young talent, STACK partnered with the Weeknd's Creative Director, La Mar Taylor and co-founder Ahmed Ismail this month to launch HXOUSE. New and existing STACK members were given an exclusive opportunity to attend the sold-out HXOUSE Live concert with headliners The Weeknd, Nav, Bryson Tiller, and The Neighbourhood. With millennials leading the charge, the appetite for differentiated solutions has never been stronger. STACK has grown to a community tens of thousands strong, with thousands engaging daily with real-time sharing and 10 lifestyle rewards partners, and new additions joining this holiday.

"We're tapping into a generational mindset and speaking to the digital natives who are demanding transparency, convenience, lower costs and higher returns," said Lori Hatcher-Hillier, CMO at STACK. "Everything we do works to democratize banking, and STACK's Vertical Card and alternative rewards are just another way that we're removing the clutter so members can focus on what they really value."

STACK knows that for young people today, although increasingly cashless, money really matters and they've created a smarter way to spend, save or share it - with better security, too. Download the STACK app from the App Store or Google Play and go to getstack.ca for more on how to free your money.
