Railsbank, a leading UK-based open-banking and RegTech platform, has strengthened its product team with three key appointments.
A new Head of Product, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Platform Officer (CPO) come at a time when Railsbank is expanding offices and staff in order to service its increasing customer base.
Nigel Verdon, co-founder and CEO of Railsbank, said: “We are expanding at a very healthy rate in terms of our customers, but that also means that we have to ensure that our service levels remain as high as they are now. These appointments are vital to our ability to offer the levels of support that our clients demand and have come to expect.”
Vaidas Adomauskas is the new Head of Product. Before joining Railsbank, Vaidas was co-founder and CEO of WoraPay, a FinTech startup. Since 2010 Vaidas has been advising companies how to get business results by running their product management and engineering processes using Agile methods. He is founder of Agile Coach - Agile consulting and training center in Lithuania (that is advising banks amongst others), as well as president of Agile Lithuania community. He was instrumental in establishing the new Railsbank office in Vilnius, Lithuania. He has strong links with the Lithuanian FinTech developer community and will operate from there and the Railsbank London HQ.
Vaidas said: “It is a great time to be joining Railsbank. My key responsibilities are to ensure reliable product delivery to our customers of the highest quality, in an end-to-end finished way, and aligned with our founders vision. Customers need product being delivered in an organized, streamlined and fast manner.”
Pete Buckney is the new Chief Technical Officer at Railsbank. Prior to Railsbank, Pete focussed on Co Made, a company he founded in 2010 with a focus on collaborating closely with customers on the strategic use of IT. Pete worked previously with Railsbank co-founders, Nigel Verdon and Clive Mitchell (COO), at Evolution from 1999 to 2009.
Pete said: “I'm delighted to be joining Railsbank at this stage in the company's growth, and to become part of this fantastic team. I have known Nigel and Clive for many years, and look forward to being able to contribute to the success of Railsbank.”
Adam McGreggor moves from CTO to Chief Platform Officer.
Adam said: “I’m delighted that Pete has joined the team and will be developing the CTO role. I’ll be working on designing our APIs, machine learning and with data again and looking forward to the challenges that presents. As well as being able to support our live customers, I’m also keen to work with the team to turn my ideas into the next generation of banking as a platform. This new role also gives me time to develop another of my interests, speaking at banking and future of finance events.”
Nigel added: “I’m especially pleased with the calibre of each of these appointments and they have been made with our clients in mind, greatly enhancing our team and allowing us all to work towards a successful future.”
