Pri-Num Ltd., Visa Ready Qualified Token Service Provider, in cooperation with Raiffeisen Bank Bosnia and Herzegovina, launches digital wallet app in Bosnia and Herzegovina – the first tokenized solution in Southeastern Europe.

m-plati, created by Pri-Num for Android-powered smartphones, enables convenient and secure mobile payment and biometric recognition, broadening bank’s portfolio by adding a secure innovative digital solution.

Grigoriy Roginsky, Chief Project Officer at Pri-Num, commented: “Modern technologies urge us to take on new approaches to daily tasks, especially in the realm of payments and banking. A modern technology-packed smartphone fast becomes the main payment tool that also solves all the security issues. Therefore, tokenization of the sensitive data in a secure, fast manner to be used within a mobile app is the solution. We are pleased to be able to provide Raiffeisen Bank customers in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a secure payment tool for contactless payments that can be used with a minimum of effort, simply by tapping the smartphone over the POS terminal.”

m-plati is a comfortable and easy method for contactless payments for purchases that work with any contactless-enabled terminals. Customers of Raiffeisen Bank BiH with a Visa card will now be able to make contactless payments with a tap of a smartphone.

Payment can be confirmed by fingerprint making m-plati the first solution in the region using biometric recognition methods.

The app is also offers a variety of settings that can be made by users, including choosing the app language, payment mode, default card and viewing transaction history. m-plati makes use of the tokenization technology accepted as a worldwide standard for secure digital payments and is attaining traction globally. Tokenization is a new type of security replacing sensitive account information with a unique digital identifier - token, which permits payments to be processed without exposing account details.

“Banking technologies and fintech in Bosnia and Herzegovina have long been waiting for innovative approaches. By introducing new payment methods, we will be able to simplify the lives of our customers and provide them with an opportunity to choose the most convenient way to perform payments. Pri-Num and Raiffeisen Bank become a leading force in the region’s fintech space and the first to provide a tokenized solution” - Senad Burza, Head of Card Product Development at Raiffeisen Bank BiH.

m-plati is powered by the Pri-Num’s Digital Enablement Platform - an in-house software that manages tokens of Visa Token Service (VTS).
