City Networks opens Johannesburg office

City Networks today announced the opening of its office in Johannesburg, South Africa, making this City Networks' seventh international office with locations also in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

Increased demand for proven technology solutions from the financial services sector in South Africa has created new opportunities for the company, which has established itself as a respected and reliable solutions provider to the region.

City Networks has grown quickly to a large base of customers, including Anglo American, Barclays, Citigroup, Credit Agricole Indosuez, The Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation Limited, Investec Bank Limited, Nedbank, Rennies Bank, Standard Bank of SA Limited Corporate and Investment Banking and American Express Foreign Exchange.

South African Centre Manager, Julie Zimmerman, has been instrumental in establishing City Networks in this region, building new relationships with customers in the banking, broking and corporate treasury sectors. Zimmerman claims: "Our leading range of financial messaging, trade matching, reconciliation and funding solutions has been strongly endorsed by South Africa's leading institutions."

Richard Hill, President at City Networks adds: "The opening of our Johannesburg office emphasises our commitment to the region.
