Fenergo hires Conor Coughlan to head global marketing, Watson to take on sales role

Fenergo, the leading provider of Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions for financial institutions spanning asset management, investment, corporate and private banks, has today announced the hiring of Conor Coughlan as its Global Head of Marketing, and its appointment of Greg Watson as Global Head of Sales.

Conor Coughlan is an award-winning B2B financial services marketer, ranked in the top 10 of RegTech social influencers and is an established and recognized thought leader. Conor has over 19 years of experience working in the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector, in addition to the technology, engineering and media industries. During his career he has held senior management roles in marketing, business development, strategy and product management. Most recently, Conor led the award-winning marketing function for Thomson Reuter’s risk division, and spear-headed its MiFIDII, KYC/3rd Party Risk, RegTech and Artificial Intelligence (AI) marketing campaigns.

Greg Watson, who had previously held the role of Fenergo’s Head of Partnerships, has been appointed to Global Head of Sales. Greg joined Fenergo in 2017 to provide strategic assistance to Fenergo’s global sales organization. Prior to joining Fenergo, Greg worked for HSBC, most recently as a Managing Director & Global Head of the Client Management Group for the Global Banking & Markets division. In that role, Greg was responsible for building out a client-facing organization to manage client onboarding and due diligence, spanning the entire product set across 30+ countries. Greg held various other senior positions within HSBC, including Global Head of Client Onboarding and COO for COBAM. Previously, Greg worked in Business/Product Management for UBS Investment Bank and in various IT and transformation roles for Centrica, Reuters, as well as a management consultancy.

Both Greg and Conor will report directly to Fenergo’s CEO, Marc Murphy, and will also be part of Fenergo’s executive leadership team.
