Singapore's HitKey wins Apple approval for in-app payments keyboard

HitKey, a Singapore based fintech startup has become the first keyboard solution provider to introduce payment keyboard features in iOS using app deep linking.

With the introduction of this feature, banks and payment providers globally can look forward to integrating payment functions for end users within any chat or social application on iOS devices globally.

This new feature has been approved by Apple and is currently live on the iTunes app store. Mr Aditya Haripurkar, Founder of HitKey said “​HitKey was founded with the vision of providing ubiquity and context to providers and end users of financial services products and services. With smartphone users globally spending 40% of their daily smartphone usage time on chat applications and 60% on ecommerce activities, we are entering into a new wave of invisible and context driven banking services.

With the introduction of our solution on iOS, payment providers and banks can get the benefit of allowing their end users to access payment functions and other services at a tap of a button within any chat , social or e-commerce application.”

HitKey is a Singapore based fintech startup founded in 2016 and is a member of the Singapore Fintech Association. HitKey was one of the finalists at the MAS Fintech Awards 2017 held at Singapore Fintech Festival and was an overseas startup winner awarded by Sony Financial Holdings at the recently concluded FIBC 2018 event held in Tokyo, Japan.
