Through this partnership, Harland Financial Solutions' Encore! Teller customers will be able to seamlessly integrate teller line automation software with Panini's My Vision X image capture device. Digital check imaging, made possible by Check 21 legislation, allows financial institutions using the technology to capture items presented for payment electronically at the teller line, which could result in significant cost savings by reducing the number of staff and equipment needed to process paper checks. Additionally, users could experience a reduction in fraud resulting from faster processing times and quicker funds availability for consumers.

"We are pleased to be working with an outstanding organization like Harland Financial Solutions," said Dave Youngerman, president, Panini North America. "The combination of our mutual strengths will provide tremendous value to our current and future customers."

Tom Richards, executive vice president and general manager of Retail Solutions for Harland Financial Solutions, concludes, "We believe our partnership with Panini North America provides numerous benefits to our clients who will realize increased operational efficiency, workflow improvement at the teller line, improved balancing and earlier fraud detection enabled by branch image capture integrated with Encore! Teller."
