MarketXS, the leading provider of real-time market data technology and trading solutions, today announced that it has hired Theo Hoogerwerf to further expand its implementation, integration and support capabilities in the areas of dealing room distribution platforms.

Theo Hoogerwerf joins MarketXS from Reuters, where he worked for many years as platform specialist (Triarch, TIBCO, RMDS) and Project/System Engineer in the area of market data solutions for dealing rooms through Benelux. Theo has extensive experience in implementing and supporting large installations, and in integrating and supporting the Reuters data feed on alternative platforms, including TRS.

At MarketXS Theo's main responsibility will be the implementation and support of existing and new TRS (HMDP) installations, technical pre-sales, and supporting MarketXS delivered data feeds on alternative platforms. Theo will become part of the TRS (HMDP) group run out of MarketXS' Brussels office, with the MarketXS/Hyperfeed offices in The Netherlands, Luxembourg and London providing local support.

MarketXS is the exclusive distributor in Europe, Middle East & Africa for the HMDP (based on TRS technology) and OCC (based on Active8 technology) products from Hyperfeed. In its capacity as Telerate distributor in Benelux, MarketXS currently supports multiple TRS sites. MarketXS recently completed the implementation of one of the largest TRS installations worldwide at Fortis Bank.

Says Ronald Kleinveld, Chief Operating Officer of MarketXS: "We are investing heavily in the HMDP business, and with Theo Hoogerwerf we are proud to have one of the leading platform specialists in our region join MarketXS. Theo comes highly recommended by our major customers. Having worked on mission-critical customer installations for many years, we have no doubt that Theo will be a valuable addition to our team. We expect to announce further hires for the German and UK markets in the next months. Our goal is to optimally support existing TRS users throughout Europe and actively shape the future of HMDP based on TRS technology in close cooperation with existing and new users of the platform."
