Banc Intranets, a provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced that Farmers & Merchants Bank (Stuttgart, Ark.) is leveraging its BancWorks employee intranet to centralize communications and simplify access to bank resources for its more than 250 employees.

Farmers & Merchants Bank sought a solution designed specifically for financial institutions to streamline communications as the bank experienced significant levels of growth, after more than doubling its employees throughout its branch network across the state of Arkansas. Rob Horan, CIO at Farmers & Merchants Bank, had previously utilized BancWorks at another bank, and based on that experience, recommended the solution to the Farmers & Merchants Bank board, who approved its selection and implementation.

The bank plans to leverage BancWorks as a resource for employees to readily access company news, policies and procedures and other important documents, and to unify personnel across its 18 branches. Additionally, because BancWorks supports the deployment of security parameters controlling which types of documents can be accessed and edited by staff, the bank will benefit from enhanced security and risk mitigation.

“The fact that Banc Intranets is designed specifically for banks and credit unions made this decision a no brainer,” said Horan. “It is evident that Banc Intranets knows the industry inside and out, and they have designed and developed a solution in BancWorks that best fits our bank’s unique business needs.”

“Centralizing day-to-day communications is vital for any bank, especially one growing substantially, like Farmers & Merchants Bank,” said Mark Anderson, founder and CEO of Banc Intranets. “By making employees’ communication a priority, Farmers and Merchants Bank will continue to provide exceptional service to its customers and improve the well-being of its community.”
