SEI (NASDAQ: SEIC) announced today that Stephens Investment Management Group, LLC (Stephens) has selected SEI’s integrated middle office operational platform to support its institutional and high-net-worth client business.

Stephens specialises in domestic equity investment management, with a focus on small- and mid-capitalisation growth companies. Through its Investment Manager Services division, SEI supplies a customised operating platform and services to investment organisations around the world.

SEI’s platform offers Stephens a holistic view of their business with an operating infrastructure that incorporates leading-edge technologies, innovative workflows, document management capabilities, and customisations. All of these unique features will give them more insight into their investment process. SEI’s comprehensive operating platform will help Stephens reduce operating risks associated with sourcing and aggregating data from disparate systems, whilst removing the need for the firm to invest in costly technologies and infrastructure.

SEI will provide Stephens with trade processing, including: settlement, account administration, custodian reconciliation, investment accounting, performance measurement, internal management, and external end-client reporting. To enhance their end-client reporting capabilities and aggregate their data across portfolios, Stephens will use the SEI Manager Dashboard, a centralised desktop portal that gives them online access to their investment strategies and client portfolios 24/7, enabling them to make more informed and timely business decisions.

“We selected SEI because we needed an operating platform that offers state-of-the-art technologies, customised workflows, and proven operational processes to give us more transparency into our client’s portfolios,” said Michael Nolte, Stephens’ Chief Operating Officer. “We are passionate about our business, and pride ourselves on being very accessible and transparent to our clients – this operating platform will enhance both our investment and investor reporting capabilities even further.”

“We are pleased to provide Stephens Investment Management Group with the technology and operational infrastructure they need to support their business,” said John Alshefski, Senior Vice President of SEI’s Investment Manager Services division. “Stephens takes great pride in providing their clients exemplary service, and we look forward to partnering with them to deliver the advanced technology, infrastructure, and professional expertise required to support their operations to the level they demand,” said Alshefski.
