Deloitte, the business advisory firm, today announces the appointment of Richard Kibble as partner in the UK financial services team, where he will specialise in banking strategy and transformation.
Kibble, who joins following five years as Strategy and Corporate Finance Director working with the RBS ExCo and Board, has more than 25 years’ experience in strategy and a 20-year career in management consultancy. Kibble’s expertise includes digital strategy, innovation and regulation and he will support Deloitte’s banking clients through a range of digital transformation projects.
James O’Riordan, head of UK financial services at Deloitte, said: “Future banks and the way in which their customers use them will be very different to today. Increasing adoption of FinTech and the rise of non-banks will continue to challenge banking models and banks themselves recognise the need to future-proof their business models. Richard’s extensive experience in both business strategy and consultancy will complement the transformation work we are already conducting with our banking clients, and lead the development of future projects.”
Richard Kibble said: “I look forward to joining a market leading financial services team and using my past banking experience as both strategic advisor and business consultant. With Open Banking regulation on the horizon, there are a great number of opportunities for banks and FinTechs. Future banking is likely to be hugely collaborative as a result, and I look forward to working with Deloitte’s clients to formulate and execute their response to this industry inflexion point.”
In FY17, Deloitte UK’s financial services revenue totalled £1.2bn, representing 21.8% of total revenues by industry.
