Thomson Financial, an operating unit of The Thomson Corporation (TSX: TOC, NYSE: TOC), and leading provider of information and technology solutions to the global financial community, today announced an agreement with Belzberg Technologies Inc. (TSX: BLZ - News), Toronto, Canada, that will provide access to a comprehensive group of over 30 Canadian brokers and equity markets via the Thomson AutEx Network for electronic order routing and execution reporting. Thomson AutEx, a market neutral provider, provides direct access to domestic and international exchanges, ECNs, and options and futures boards.

Under terms of the agreement, the Belzberg Broker Network will be connected to the Thomson AutEx Order Routing system to create the most extensive network coverage for order routing in all North American and global markets. Through one concentrated network, Thomson clients using Thomson AutEx Order Routing will have access to an extensive global trading community, which now includes Canada, while Belzberg clients will have access to a broad range of major global institutions.

"This connection is a vital part of our service to provide our clients with access to world markets", said Darren Richarz, sales and marketing vice-president, Belzberg. "The AutEx community provides exactly that - a global trading community", said Richarz.

"We are delighted to have Belzberg and their clients connected to the Thomson AutEx order routing network," said Robert Moitoso, senior vice president for AutEx, Thomson Financial. "This extends the reach for our clients to establish extensive trading partnerships into Canada. The AutEx network is based on the latest systems technologies and provides the reliability, security and performance essential to all trading systems," said Moitoso.

Thomson AutEx Order Routing, one of a suite of AutEx products, facilitates the high-speed transfer of multiple message types through one concentrated global network, streamlining connectivity between institutions and brokers. Once connected to the global host, institutions and brokers have access to all connected order routing clients worldwide.
