Based in Anchorage, Alaska USA FCU (www.alaskausa.org) has more than 625,000 members worldwide and more than $7 billion in assets, making it the 17th largest credit union in the nation.

The Ignite platform’s ability to accommodate both consumer and business members was key to the decision. “With Jwaala, we’re confident that we will bring a superior user experience to all of our members,” said Alaska USA CIO Mike Brady. “What’s more, we believe we’ll be able to help shape the future of the product, especially given our experience with business members.”

Brady further stated that synergies in both technology and culture were also important to the decision. “We look at Jwaala as a true business partner – people who are as passionate about online banking as we are,” he added. “Their state-of-the-art software development practices resonated with our developers, and we collectively felt that both teams would gel nicely.”

“Alaska USA is one of the most technologically progressive credit unions in the industry,” said Jwaala CEO Andrew Taylor. “We look forward to helping them improve the member experience for both business and consumer members, and also look forward to the contributions Alaska USA will make to the growth of the Ignite platform.”
