Thomson Financial, an operating unit of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), and leading provider of information and technology solutions to the worldwide financial community, today announced that Evolution Beeson Gregory, the investment banking business of Evolution Group plc, has signed an agreement to become a Retail Service Provider (RSP) on Thomson GlobalTOPIC.

RSPs provide competitive price quotation and trading services to private client brokers. Evolution Beeson Gregory joins seven other RSPs already on Thomson GlobalTOPIC who between them offer trading in a wide range of UK equities, bonds and investment trusts.

Chris Potts, head of Market Making at Evolution Beeson Gregory, commented: "The private client brokers using Thomson GlobalTOPIC are an important and significant pool of liquidity. We are very pleased that we will soon be able to offer our market coverage of 600 stocks to this community through our market making division, EVO."

Thomson GlobalTOPIC provides users with access to an impressive array of functionality and connectivity for investment and trading professionals, including global market data and leading financial news wires. Thomson Financial will continue to invest in Thomson GlobalTOPIC and its RSP infrastructure, which will also be integrated into the Thomson ONE application suite over the course of 2004.

Jonathan Morris, International Product Director said: "We are delighted that Evolution Beeson Gregory has joined the roster of RSPs connected to Thomson GlobalTOPIC, further enhancing the range of services and functionality already available to our clients. Evolution Beeson Gregory's decision recognizes both the importance of Thomson Financial’s UK private client broker community and our continued commitment to this market segment."
