Calypso Technology, Inc., a leading provider of capital markets trading solutions for global financial institutions, today announced the appointment of Ken Byrne as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations.

Based in New York, Mr. Byrne will be responsible for all sales and professional services worldwide.

Mr. Byrne brings 25 years of experience in financial services to Calypso. Before establishing his own practice providing sales and marketing consulting to technology firms, Mr. Byrne held several senior roles at Reuters during 13 years with the company. These included Executive Vice President Asset Management and Executive Vice President, North America where he was responsible for $650 million revenue.

Ken Byrne comments: "Financial institutions are increasingly looking to reduce the total cost of ownership of the solutions they deploy. This can be achieved through the consolidation of software systems, which are fully-integrated from front to back, and executing a well-planned implementation strategy. Calypso actively addresses all these requirements and I am excited to be spearheading sales and professional services activity and bringing this capability to the market."

"With a substantial amount of experience and proven success in financial services, Ken will bring tremendous value to our organization. He will also lead a coordinated client satisfaction effort as the Calypso success story continues," added Charles Marston, Chairman and CEO of Calypso Technology, Inc.
