BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK has appointed Mike Quinn as the new Head of Technology Solutions (TS), taking over from Russ Pettifer.

Quinn previously held the position of Head of Risk at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK, and brings over 25 years of experience in finance, encompassing risk, sales, operations and IT project work.

TS is one of the business’ key divisions and Quinn will be overseeing a 115-strong team which provides dedicated finance solutions within four markets: office equipment, telecoms, IT and most recently healthcare. The TS division currently has a network of 500 partners within these markets, including manufacturers, distributors and independent resellers.

“The technology market has high growth potential,” notes Quinn. “As businesses realise the sustainable and cost-effective benefits of financing hardware and software rather than outright purchase, IT equipment funding solutions are on the rise. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions’ TS division and help our partners meet increasing demand from end-users for flexible finance options.”

Jean-Michel Boyer, UK CEO, comments, “We’re pleased to announce Mike’s appointment as the new Head of TS. We’d also like to thank his predecessor Russ for his leadership over the past four years and his strong contribution to the success of the Technology Solutions franchise in the UK. Russ was a founding member of the business unit in 2001 which has grown to become the market leader in office equipment finance, and in parallel, has established a solid presence in the IT and telecoms sectors.

“The Finance Leasing Association (FLA) reported that IT financing in the UK reached a total of £2.2bn in 2015, up 38 percent from the previous year. Mike will help us to continue to capitalise on this opportunity, and the overall success of the division.”
Quinn took up the role on June 26th.
