Clarus Financial Technology today announced that Mark Bell has joined the firm to head up the Asia Pacific region.

Amir Khwaja, CEO of Clarus Financial Technology explains, “Our focus on Derivatives regulatory change, means that Asia Pacific is an important market for us. We have a number of customers in the region and are well positioned to accelerate our growth. This starts with finding the best person to make that happen”.

“So today I am very pleased to announce that Mark Bell has joined us in the position of Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, based in Singapore”.

“Mark has great depth of experience with Financial technology vendors in Asia. He started his career at Sumitomo before joining FNX (now part of SunGard), where he was MD for SE Asia.
More recently Mark was with Calypso technology for 9 years, where he served in a number of senior roles covering SE Asia, Japan, Australia, Greater China and India.”

Mark adds, “Not only are financial firms subject to massive regulatory change, but the business model of on-premise enterprise software solutions with two-year implementation and upgrade cycles is broken. The industry needs new vendors, born in the cloud era, that are able to deliver superior services. As innovators, Clarus are in the vanguard of providing such services and I am excited to lead their growth in the region”.
