Wincor Nixdorf, one of the global leaders in open ATM hardware and multi-vendor software solutions that improve branch efficiencies, today announced a partnership with Carreker Corporation, a leading provider of technology and consulting solutions for financial institutions.

Wincor Nixdorf will integrate its multi-vendor ATM software with Carreker's Source Capture Suite(TM) to provide financial institutions with a complete solution for remote deposit image capture.

Wincor Nixdorf will demonstrate this integration with two components of the Carreker Source Capture Suite, printing Image Replacement Documents (IRD) and Image Quality Inspector, at the 28th Annual Retail Delivery Conference and Expo, November 15-17 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida in Carreker booth #1555 and in Wincor Nixdorf booth #1161. Carreker's amount recognition and image quality engines will be shown running on a Wincor Nixdorf ProCash 2150xe ATM equipped with the Check and Cash Deposit Module (CCDM). Once the image deposit is processed at the ATM, the image and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) data is forwarded to a server where the IRD is printed.

Carreker's Source Capture Suite allows financial institutions to capture check images earlier in the deposit process from any deposit-taking location, including ATMs, branches, teller stations and corporate centers. This significantly increases revenues and lowers costs, through reduced transportation and processing requirements. The Wincor Nixdorf CCDM allows customers to make bulk deposits of checks or cash - up to 50 checks or bank notes - without a deposit slip or envelope. With Wincor Nixdorf's CCDM and multi-vendor software, financial institutions can turn ATM fleets into automated deposit stations - delivering faster customer service and lowering branch operating costs.

"Thanks to the relationship with Wincor Nixdorf and its multi-vendor ATM software, our remote deposit capture solution can bring additional value to banks," said Doug Halvorsen, Director of Sales, Carreker Corporation. "As banks seek to maximize the value of image processing and Check 21, they need enhanced processing for ATM image deposits. By combining Carreker and Wincor Nixdorf technologies, we can improve the integrity of the ATM deposit process, minimize the risk of un-collectable items, and increase operational efficiencies through advanced image-based technologies."

"We are pleased to partner with one of the leading solution providers of Check 21 technology," said John Tyler, Vice President, Wincor Nixdorf Banking USA. "Their remote deposit image software application along with our multi-vendor software and innovative CCDM will further strengthen our position as a leader in Deposit Automation."
