ASPACE Solutions has ported 4TRESS™ its powerful, multi-channel banking identification and verification solution to the IBM AIX® platform running IBM WebSphere® Application Server.
Designed specifically for organisations who combine the need to manage a large number of complex relationships with varying levels of associated risk with the requirement to interact over multiple channels, 4TRESS provides users with a single login procedure via the Internet, call centre, face-to-face, or emerging channels such as mobile phones, digital TV and interactive voice response systems.
"Integration with IBM's AIX operating system and the IBM WebSphere Application Server, means that 4TRESS now supports the environment of choice for many leading organisations," says Steve Keohane, CEO at ASPACE Solutions. "As well as reducing administration costs and delivering a rapid ROI, 4TRESS helps to meet corporate governance and risk management initiatives such as Basel II and APACS remote banking guidelines."
Final integration and performance tests have just been successfully completed at the IBM Innovation Centre for Business Partners in Hursley. 4TRESS on AIX was proven to scale and support user volumes to meet the requirements of a large, multi-channel organisation such as a tier 1 retail bank utilising Internet, telephony and branch channels. ASPACE Solutions' modular design also allows additional application server nodes to be added, delivering a linear increase in overall performance, which scales to meet the requirements of even the largest organisation across all channels.
4TRESS supports one-time or reusable passwords as well as stronger authentication methods, including smartcards, one-time passwords, voice verification, two-factor tokens and digital certificates. A sophisticated privilege model can control different access rights for individuals or groups of users depending on the channel used.
With 4TRESS, all authentication, authorisation and administration activities are written to a secure audit log. Each log entry is time-stamped, digitally signed and chained to adjacent entries in a secure tamperproof hardware environment to prevent undetected compromise.
In addition to IBM AIX* and IBM WebSphere Application Server*, 4TRESS also supports Sun Solaris™ operating systems and BEA Systems WebLogic® Enterprise Edition.
