Paragon Application Systems, a premier provider of ATM and EFT configuration, simulation and testing software, announced that it has signed a comprehensive reseller and distribution agreement with ACI Worldwide (ACI), a leading global provider of e-payment solutions to financial and retail institutions.

ACI will provide distribution and technical support services for Paragon's ATM simulation and configuration tool, ATMulator Plus, and will recommend Paragon's quality assurance and regression testing tool, FASTest as well as FASTress for stress testing system capacity to customers in Australia, New Zealand, Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, India, and Malaysia.

Paragon Application Systems and ACI Worldwide have had a long-standing relationship. For more than 6 years, ACI has benefited from Paragon's simulation, configuration and testing tools which are currently used by over 200 ACI employees worldwide. ACI chose Paragon's tools based on the breadth of the product line-from comprehensive ATM simulation and configuration tools, to regression testing tools simulating over 60 ISO, POS and other formats. Last year, Paragon and ACI signed a worldwide distribution and referral agreement.

ATMulator Plus will enable ACI customers to simultaneously design and test ATM configuration files from their desktop, accelerating their time to market for new ATM features including EMV, Smart Card support. Users will benefit from ATMulator Plus' thorough fault testing which identifies problems before they occur in production.

"We are pleased to be working with an experienced partner like Paragon," said Steve Gilde, Vice President, ACI Asia. "ACI uses the Paragon tools internally, so we welcome the opportunity to provide the same industry leading components to our customers. Working together, we will continue to deliver world-class solutions to the Asia Pacific marketplace."

"As the Asia Pacific region implements EMV and integrates chip cards with their existing magnetic card base, they will require comprehensive simulation, configuration and testing tools to effectively test their networks," says Steven Lund, Director of Business Development for Paragon Application Systems. "With ACI's expertise and knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, their customers will have the opportunity to quickly benefit from Paragon's ATMulator Plus which has been proven in over 200 financial institutions worldwide."
